The Department is responsible for managing the human resources and coordinating administrative functions in order to promote the efficient and effective operations of the Ministry.

The Department has the following objectives:

  1. To effectively and efficiently manage and develop human resources in order to implement the Ministry’s mandate
  2. To effectively provide and manage human, financial, administrative, and logistical support services in order to enhance individual and organizational performance and operations.

The Department has the following functions:

  1. Effectively manage and develop Human Resources for the efficient and effective performance of the Ministry.
  2. Establish and maintain an efficient consultative mechanism with all the departments and their institutions, for improved flow of information
  3. Improve efficient and effective provision of administrative and logistical support services for enhanced performance
  4. Facilitate the dissemination of information to both the public and cooperating Partners about the operations of the Ministry
  5. Serve as Secretariat for the Ministry’s Human Resource Management Committee in order to ensure effective and efficient operations of the Committee.

The Department is headed by a Director, who is assisted by Assistant Director, 1 Chief Human Resource Management Officer,  1 Senior Human Resource Management Officer, 1 Human Resource Management Officer, 1 Assistant Human Resource Management Officer, 1 Human Resource Development Officer, Administrative Officer and Executive Officer

The Department has five (5) Units namely:

  1.  Administration;
  2.  Management;
  3.  Training & Development;
  4.  Transport; and
  5.  Registry
